Fujifilm X-T30: what is it?

In addition to its 26MP sensor and processor, Fujifilm’s X-T30 has many of the same features as Fujifilm’s X-T3.

The X-T3 wasn’t a bad camera by any means, even though the X-T4 is the latest in the X-T lineup.

X-T20 fans will notice that the design is very similar. It was already solidly designed, so it was easy.

Term & Abbreviation Guide for Fujifilm Lenses

It may seem confusing at first to see the model names throughout the article.

By reading the name of the lens, Fujifilm can tell what features the lens has.

In the following guide, I will explain what Fuji is talking about:

  • Fujifilm sells optical lenses under the Fujinon brand.
  • A metal finish is found on the XF range of expert optics
  • Optical image stabilization is what OIS stands for.
  • Weather-resistant is the abbreviation for this type of product
  • It indicates that the lens has an aperture adjustment ring
  • A linear motor is evident by the LM symbol indicating that the lens is focused by a linear motor

You may not be able to afford the best Fuji lenses, but I hope this format will give you an idea.

Here are quite a few Fujifilm X-T30 lenses we can discuss!

The 5 Best Fujifilm XT30 Lenses

1. FUJIFILM 50MM F/2

It can withstand temperatures as low as -10 degrees Celsius thanks to its weather and dust-resistant design. An angle of view of 31,7 degrees is possible with a magnification of 0.15 x.

The metal construction of this lens assured me right away that it will be safe for more rough handling.

A near-perfect ergonomic solution is represented by the focusing ring’s exceptional responsiveness. There is something superior about the autofocus system itself. Focus-hunting or lag did not occur even once.

In low-light environments, it provides excellent shots and is quite responsive. While it may be small, this prime lens is among the best I’ve used in quite some time. I was able to get fantastic images with it.

The bokeh is gorgeous, and the separation between in-focus and background subjects is subtle and smooth. In addition to being exceptionally sharp, the images that came out of this lens had excellent contrast and were rich in detail.

It is unfortunate:

Since the only downside is the lens hood, I must say this lens deserves every recommendation, despite the fact that it feels cheap.

PROS

  • Autofocus that works quickly
  • Performs well optically
  • Quality of construction

CONS

  • There could be a larger aperture

2. FUJIFILM 10-24MM F/4

A minimum working distance of 0.24 meters is required with the Fujinon XF 10-24mm f/4, and a constant aperture of f/4 is available throughout the entire zoom range. The structure consists of 14 elements grouped into 10 groups.

A constant extension and length are maintained throughout the zoom range of the lens because it has an internal focusing and zoom system

At f/4, the sharpness is good across the entire frame without any loss of quality. Depending on the frame photographed, I found distortion at 10mm.

This usually happens when subjects are at the sides of the frame. There’s a lot of improvement over what I expected in terms of image quality. As well as great sharpness, the colors are beautifully rendered, and the contrast helps make the details stand out.

There’s a lot of versatility and flexibility with this lens. This camera is great for wide-angle photography, but it’s also great for other things. Wide-angle lenses don’t often have optical image stabilization, but this one has it and it works well.

The only objective drawback I’ve found is its size and weight. Despite that, I’d take the deal since it’s versatile and wide-angled.

PROS

  • Stabilization of images is good
  • Flexibility
  • Sharpness that stands out

CONS

  • Framing distortions

3. FUJINON 27MM F/2.8

With a weight of only 77 grams, the Fujinon XF 27mm f/2.8 is a lightweight lens. A total of seven elements are arranged in five groups, and an electron beam coating is applied. It lets decent light into the sensor due to its wide aperture.

I was pleased with the exposure of all the images, even those taken in low light. All around the frame, there is excellent contrast and sharpness.

I used it for several situations since it is an all-purpose lens. Landscape photos were captured beautifully, but a wide-angle lens would have captured a dramatic effect better. This camera does a much better job when it comes to portrait photography.

The separation and bokeh are excellent. It performed best for environmental portraits, however, since it feels quite limited.

When I try to capture a ladybug, for instance, I found that mine doesn’t capture sharp photos when I get very close to it. For street photography, this lens is ideal. In addition to its solid image quality, it is also lightweight and compact, making it convenient to carry around.

Additionally, the rendering of colors is beautiful. My eyes were blown away by how realistic and vivid the pictures were. For all photo enthusiasts, this is an excellent all-around lens.

PROS

  • Performance in low light
  • I love the bokeh in this photo
  • High-quality images

CONS

  • When shooting wide-angle, it feels limited

4. FUJINON 50-140MM F/2.8

A Fujinon XF 50-140mm f/2.8 lens has a maximum magnification of 0.12 x and a focus range of 1 meter over its entire zoom position. As well as being dust and weather-resistant, the lens is also capable of operating in cold temperatures.

Its size and weight are the first things I notice about this lens. The weight of this lens can drain your energy over time.

Thank you for providing an optical image stabilization that is highly effective. I was able to capture excellent handheld shots in the late evening after the camera gained a few f-stops.

Fast and accurate focusing is provided by the focusing system. Even in low-light situations, it operated smoothly without causing any focusing issues.

It’s a telephoto lens, but I’m personally not impressed with the bokeh, but portraits in the environment with this lens are still usable.

Taking images with this lens, I noticed how sharp and detailed the images were. A good build quality makes this lens a worthwhile investment.

PROS

  • Picture quality is excellent
  • Colors that pop
  • The bokeh effect is eye-catching

CONS

  • Noise can be a problem with autofocus

5. FUJIFILM XF 80MM F/2.8

An optical construction of 16 elements in 12 groups distinguishes Fujinon XF 80mm f/2.8 as a lens with a high-resolving power.

It can withstand temperatures as low as -10 degrees Celsius, and it is dust and weather-resistant. Does it work with XF 1.4x teleconverters as well as XF 2.0 teleconverters?

The optical image stabilization was particularly impressive to me. Image stabilization is achieved with the help of gyroscopes and acceleration sensors in this Fujinon. When I shot from my hands, I noticed lots of shakes were suppressed.

On the other hand:

There is quite a bit of weight and robustness to the lens. Despite the excellent build quality, the lens is heavy, which can be overbearing if you plan on hiking all day while wearing it.

Even though the autofocus works well, the manual focus works better, especially for close-ups. Also, the image quality is pretty good. The lens does a great job with portraits at f/2.8, and I got excellent sharpness across the frame.

This lens is worth buying if you don’t mind distortions or aberrations.

PROS

  • Resistant to dust and weather
  •  Sharpness beyond belief
  • I love the bokeh in this photo

CONS

Quite heavy
