Where are Giant Mouse Knives Made?

If you’re wondering where those giant mouse knives come from. We can tell you that they’re made in a small town in China. The knives are crafted by hand and have been a traditional Chinese tool for centuries.

GiantMouse Knives has just come up with a number of new knives, one of which is the GiantMouse Ace Biblio. The Ace Biblio is a folding knife that has a gorgeous design and is crafted from materials of the highest quality.

But what is it about the Ace Biblio that makes it so unique? In the “Spotlight” features, we get further information! How did the blade first come into existence? H-ow does it feel to finish? How high quality is the materials that were used?

And most essential, can you describe the operation of this knife? We are now in possession of the solution! Because, at the end of the day, the GiantMouse Ace Biblio isn’t like any other pocket knife…

The founding of GiantMouse Knives

Two of Denmark’s most renowned bladesmiths, Jesper Voxnaes and Jens Ans, are responsible for founding the knife business known as GiantMouse.

In 2015, while attending a knife expo. They came to the conclusion that they should collaborate with Jim Wirth, an American businessman who is also a collector of knives. What do we want to accomplish by working together?

A knife firm that specialises in one-of-a-kind knife designs, produces knives of the highest possible quality, and sells them at reasonable prices.

Both Jens Ans and Jesper Voxnaes are known for the high-quality, hand-crafted knives that they create. Both of these knifemakers have a large number of devoted followers who would do everything to have their hands on one of their creations.

However, because to the high cost of these knives, only a select few people are able to buy one of the knives created by these Danish knife producers. GiantMouse was founded for a variety of reasons, including this particular one.

Because of the much-reduced cost of a production knife offered by GiantMouse. Jens Ans and Jesper Voxnaes are able to communicate with a significantly larger number of individuals than they were before able to.

These knives are crafted in Maniago, Italy, using materials of the highest quality, and they are manufactured there.

Knives are known as the GiantMouse Ace.

The first GiantMouse manufacturing knife, known as the GMP1, was met with positive feedback from the knife community.

According to many people who are passionate about knives. The combination of the distinctive design aspects that Ans and Voxnaes first brought to the table and the use of high-quality materials was the ideal formula for success.

Following this very fruitful beginning, more manufacturing knives were made available. Similar to the GM1, they were all produced in limited numbers. With 300 copies of the standard model and 100 copies of an exclusive variant being produced.

However, due to the fact that there were so few knives available, acquiring a GiantMouse knife proved to be an extremely challenging task.

In addition, the costs remained rather high, which was another factor that caused many people to think twice. Because of this, GiantMouse came up with the Ace collection. Which has knives that are more reasonably priced but maintain the same level of quality.

These knives still include recognizable Ans and Voxnae designs, but they are not limited edition.

GiantMouse Ace Biblio is our Biblio.

The Biblio was the first knife that was included in the Ace collection. Anyone who is paying careful attention will see very quickly that this is a more compact version of the well-known GM1 model.

An absolutely stunning idea when one considers that the GM1 was the very first GiantMouse knife and that the Ace collection’s smaller Biblio model is now the very first knife in that series. Many individuals felt that GM1 was on the larger side of acceptable.

When Ans and Voxnaes first began manufacturing the Biblio, they most certainly took the feedback of their consumers into consideration.

When fully extended, the length is 17.2 centimeters, which is three centimeters less than the GM1. On paper, it does not seem to be very significant. On the other hand, it will be quite different when you really have it in your hand.

The blade that comes along with the Ace Biblio is without a question pretty stunning in its own right. There is a possibility that the Ace collection is more affordable. But this is not something that is noticeable when looking at the quality or the materials that are used.

Material

GiantMouse will not, under any circumstances, accept second best thanks to the Biblio. After all, the steel that constitutes the blade is manufactured using Bohler M390 steel.

A premium grade of stainless steel that originates in Austria and is often reserved for the production of very expensive and desirable blades.

It is incredible that GiantMouse was able to do all of this while maintaining their low prices. The finish of the blade, which is fashioned like a sheep’s foot, also shocks us. The spine of the blade has an attractive curvature, and it has a polished finish to enhance its appearance.

The same finish and curved accents can be seen in the finger groove that is cut into the blade. This not only lends the Biblio an elegant appearance and feel but also makes it incredibly utilitarian and usable in its many configurations.

At the end of the day, there are no jagged edges in places where there shouldn’t be any. It is important to take note that the blade has been improved with ridges on the top of the blade, namely in the centre.

These ridges, which may sometimes be referred to as “jimping,” ensure that your thumb can rest on the blade without sliding off of it. The functioning of the Biblio is improved because to this very simple yet ingenious feature.

The blade has been improved further by having a satin finish applied to it, and the grind on it is very fine.

This, in conjunction with the razor-sharp edge made of Bohler M390 steel, not only guarantees that the knife has a significant capacity for cutting, but also transforms the knife into an exceptional option for general cutting tasks.

Handle

Additionally, the handle of the Ace Biblio is a piece of art in and of itself. After all, the handle was improved with such a large number of eye-catching elements that it is difficult to choose where to begin describing them.

The most noticeable feature of the handle is the grip made of black G10. Which is an extremely durable material that is ideal for an everyday carry knife. The grip is quite ergonomic and has a pleasant feel when held in the hand.

The design has organic lines that flow together and contribute significantly to this effect. The G10 on the handle has been sandblasted so that it provides an even greater degree of grip.

This also leaves a wonderful pattern in the G10 that looks similar to wood. Which makes the handle even more unique.

The handle is supported by steel liners made of AISI 420. The knife is held together by standoffs in the form of an hourglass that can be found in the space between the handle and the blade.

Because it is so simple to switch between left-handed and right-handed usage. The wire clip is ideal for anybody who prefers to work with their preferred hand.

A substantial screw ensures that this classy wire clip will remain in position. Sandblasting is used on all of the screws, liners, standoffs, and wire clips to give everything a great polish. Comparable to the G10 handle in appearance. The end effect makes the entire thing seem to be really elegant!

It is noteworthy to note that the GiantMouse logo only seems to show on the blade in a single location, as this is the case. On the other hand, this is not the case.

.

On the inside of the handle is an engraving of the GiantMouse emblem. As well as the words “made in China” and the surnames of the designers, Jesper Voxnaes and Jens Ans. an amazing feature that prevents the remaining portions of the knife from being covered with text.

Not the least important question, but how exactly does the Ace Biblio work? We are able to say, without a shadow of a doubt, that the Biblio is incredible. Because of the mechanics of the flipper, the knife will launch itself from the handle.

On the other hand, thanks to the thumb hole, the knife may also be opened with relative ease. Because of the ball bearings included inside the handle. Any choice may be used with a great deal of ease and pleasure.

After being opened, the knife has a secure lock called a solid liner lock. Because the liner lock has just the correct amount of spring tension, the detent, or the force with which the lock locks the blade in the handle, is flawlessly executed.

One of the most impressive blades to be released in 2018, is the GiantMouse Ace Biblio.

It should come as no surprise that the Biblio is an exceptional knife. It should not come as much of a surprise given the presence of world-renowned knife manufacturers like Jens Ans and Jesper Voxnaes.

The Biblio is a top contender for the title of the greatest knife of 2018. Thanks to its remarkable construction and one-of-a-kind design. As a result, we are pleased to announce that we have expanded our selection to include GiantMouse knives.

Because to knives like the Ace Biblio, we are quite excited to see what other products GiantMouse will come up with in the near future. While you wait, you may want to look at the GiantMouse Knives Nimbus and GMF2 models.
